A plethora of pottery

So here is a bunch of pottery I've made recently.

a raku pinch pot - red inside, smokey black with gold flecks outside. Oh how fun. :0)

he-he - this isn't pottery - its a fused glass piece I made in a class with Renee.

a little vase with red stripe.

a earthy bowl with orbital rattles.

two really cool serving dishes. I love the colors on these! I've had an offer to sell these - I am thinking about it. Then I can make more :0)

a little star vase - inspired by the new switchfoot song. It's about 5" tall.

a little toothpick holder.

some christmas ornaments - some with melted marbles in them.

a little dish with melted glass in it.

a wok! very fun. I like the handles.

a few more fun pieces.

A Christmas Sentiment

Yes, sometime I'll come up with something more original to put on my blog but a friend posted this on his blog recently and I thought it was cool. Too bad he's married - he would have made a nice boy for Hannah :0) ha-ha (that was for you heidi - since I think you might be the only one reading my blog - as I never post I figure people wouldn't really want to read it anyway. - but stay posted b/c I may post some pictures of my new pottery pieces I've made recently. :0)

"I hope you all get what you want for Christmas, too. Rather, I hope you get what you need. Peace, and joy, and rest, and some green vegetables, all the holiday sentiments that are so trite and so truly essential. Most of all, the holy Presence of the One who kept the Temple lamps burning against the seige of the Greeks, and who became flesh to light a lamp in our hearts against the seige of the darkness - may the Presence of that One be yours this Christmas as well. Shalom aleichem."
