boys i love

They are like my brothers and I will miss Marshall dearly. I am grateful for knowing such a man of character. I am joy filled that I will see him again one day though. God is still in control even when I don't understand Him.

Pray for healing and comfort for Mason, the family, and those of us friends. This is an incredibly difficult time.

(I took this picture Sunday - a couple days before the accident. )

Water Bottles

So back to chivalry :0) Actually don’t know if you’d call it chivalry or just being a man and kind… but I was needing to change out the 5 Gallon water bottle at work since I drank the last of it and a co-worker (Eddie) stopped and asked me if he could do it. Was very kind since I recently almost dislocated my shoulder switching out a bottle. Oh – but last week I had to switch out a water bottle in the training room here at work at the beginning of training and everyone applauded when I didn’t spill it all over the floor. I am pretty good at switching them out as I’ve done about 1 a week for the last 4-5 years. So, anyway. I give Eddie 10 bonus points for being a man. And I am glad his shoulder held together for it as he had some pretty major surgery on it after breaking his collarbone in half last year. Now that was some crazy wacky bruising and funky looking. So, that’s all I have to say today.

The Little Peeler

Photographed the Peelers at one of my favorite places to shoot last weekend - Laguna Gloria Art Museum off of West 35th. Fun place, fun shoot.

Boys are so weird.

I usually at least pretend to sortof get guys. but yesterday... nope. I don't get it. At church Nathan walks up with three donut holes. He licks one and then hands it to Chris to eat. Chris didn't see the lick action. So, I said, "Chris, he licked it." which Chris' response is "no he didn't" - I repeated myself a couple more times telling him I was serious. I was not grinning. I was serious. Nathan was quiet during all of this. So Chris eats it and as he's chewing Nathan says he licked it. Chris actually didn't respond as negatively as I expected. I think with Nathan we've learned not to have much of a reaction to his antics. And really eating a donut hole that someone has licked isn't any worse than eating after someone and I do that all the time but I think its just the principle of it. Eating licked food is just weird. And licking food and giving it to people is even weirder. Yep, boys are weird.

Pics from a couple indoor shoots Saturday

Seems like I haven't done indoor shoots in a while. Had two Saturday morning. Turned out pretty well. The kids were too cute. I really do enjoy childrens portraiture. Glad I'll be shooting kids and families the next few weeks to get ready for Christmas.
