a little update

Yes, I know I haven't blogged in a while. Been a crazy busy semester. Plus it seems like most of the cool kids are over on facebook and people aren't reading blogs much anymore. But here's a few bullet points.

• My color theory class is over half over. The work is ok but I am exhausted driving to south austin two evenings a week.
• UT work is busy but overall its going ok. But I feel crazy is around the corner (it often is)
• spent 5 hours at the glass studio this afternoon evening trying to finish up some pieces during open studio hours.
• tiny cut, blood *everywhere* while using the disc grinder. I am fine.
• finally really cleaned the house last night. There was a mud streak on the entryway floor from ACL Festival. That was over a month ago!
• my shoes never did recover from ACL
• working on a HUGE photo project for a child care center with 370 kids! fun but it's a ton of work. essentially I am doing their "school pictures" but these aren't your mom's school pics, I am chasing kids around a playground to get the pics so they are more "natural" (ha.)
• I am hoping this photo job makes enough so I can buy a 5D Mark II camera.
• I got my plane ticket home for Christmas - expensive but I am flying in and out at normal times (Nathan's request as he will probably either take me or pick me up)
• My niece Lily is almost 1 whole year old. Kayli is about to turn 5.
• Nathan built me a fence so know I have a cool little backyard
• I've been enjoying homegroup, it's a good bunch.
• I watched Born into Brothels this week. Watched it in a couple sittings as the camera work made me dizzy. Good documentary, very sad.
