Lily

I went to see Lily and family in August and am JUST now finishing up with editing photos. Figured I'd post a few favorites.

Before we headed to the park Lily was chillin' in her chair with her friends. For some reason this chair always cracks me up.
It's a kid size old man recliner.

love her giggle and smile

Lily and Rachel

She went down the slide FAST!

love the pensiveness of this.

Lily playing Wii with Grandpa (my dad). I think Lily has had a Wii controller in her hand since she was born.

She takes her game quite seriously. Love her hair. She had a headband on 70's style most of the day
and took it off shortly before the pics giving her the flat on top, poofy on bottom look.
This isn't the best picture of my parents but they just really look like themselves in it so I like it. :0)
I think most of my blog readership knows but in case you don't, Travis (brother-in-law) will be the new Chick-fil-a operator (owner) of a store outside Phoenix, AZ  starting March 1st. They will move out there in January. AND they just bought a beautiful house out there recently so everything is coming together nicely so far. I am REALLY excited for them. Travis has worked so hard for this and for it to be coming together finally is just super cool. Yay.

more random thoughts

  • didn't get too creative with Restaurant Week a couple weeks ago. Did do Fogo de Chao and Melting Pot. Both were fabulous and had company for both which was even more fabulous.
  • thursday I was all ready to sit down and watch Grey's Anatomy and make some pottery ornaments for Christmas but the debate was on every channel. ugh. not exactly how I wanted to spend my evening. I feel 4 years ago I cared more about politics, this year I figure both candidates are very poor choices and can't see how I'd vote for either. Obama didn't do what he said he would (I recognize that wasn't all his fault), Romney wears his special Mormon underwear, and neither seem to be truthful or honest.
  • sketched out some plans and david brown built me a couple more wooden molds to use for making pottery. awesomeness. I asked him if it was weird that he makes me tools to make something else with and he said in woodworking it's called a "jig."
  • didn't do ACL this weekend but did watch Florence and the Machine and The Black Keys online Friday night. And last night went out to Uncle Billy's on the Lake (in the Oasis compound - if you haven't been there lately it is literally a compound now) to see Gin Mill Hymns and The Dunwells. Good show. Live music makes me miss my old life and the old life of Thomas when he'd play out at coffee shops or ghetto pizza places.
  • things I either missed the memo explaining why they are cool or I am just so over it: honey badgers, narwhals, hashtags, memes, nom nom, chevron.
