Mark

"I am going to read the last half of the apocrypha and do my taxes before bed tonight." - Mark Hagen at council meeting Monday night.

Ya kindof had to be there but it was really funny. A council member was semi-arguring about whether the apocrypha was 7 books or 14 and none of us really cared so Mark Hagen made the above statement. At first I thought he was serious and I was a little concerned as today was tax day - but then I saw his smirk and totally cracked up on the inside. Council meeting the last 6 weeks have been interesting. Hard definitely. I've wanted to die during many of the meetings but I made it though. Next monday night... I'll be at a bar. Want to join me? :0)~

On a different note. This is my 100th post. yeah.

hey! i didn't know you were on the verge of death at the meetings! i thought you were holding up really well...either you're exaggerating for effect or you faked being "OK" remarkably well...and that WAS a great quote by the way, i'm sorry to have missed it...classic mark hagen. i'm not sure WHICH apocryphal books were being considered, but the catholic bible has just 5 apocryphal books (but for some reason my french bible has more...hmmmm). can i just keep typing away here? here i go! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! i like michele!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, I was being a little dramatic on the dying part. Most of the time it wasn't that bad. And sometimes it was actually quite good. I think its just hard getting 14 people to semi-agree on things. And I am tired of voting. I too thought there were only 5 apocryphal books. I think maccabees or whatever is sometimes split into 3 or something.
