A Cat Bath

So, Eben was looking a little weird today so I gave her a bath. She wasn't thrilled but tolerated it. Not sure if she has dry skin, or if she just doesn't bathe herself enough but she just looked weird and unclean. Sometimes she gets clumps of matted hair on her back b/c she doesn't groom herself enough. When that happens I get out the scissors and give her a haircut. She normally looks retarded for about 6 months after that. But today she didn't need a haircut, just a bath. So I put her in the tub and bathed her while holding on to her by the neck mainly b/c she's lost her collar again.

So, here is Eben after her bath trying to clean/dry herself. Now, you'd think after a bath she would ignore me and be mad the rest of the day. Well, she wasn't and within an hour was wanting to be pet. Weird cat. (the picture is sideways - opps)

Here's Ryanne. She didn't need a bath or haircut so she just sat on her blanket. Other than her kidneys acting up occasionally she does pretty good and is the nicer cat of the two. Yes, they are both fat b/c they are indoor cats. They get 1/2 cup of dry food each a day so they aren't overfed or anything. I do feed them the high protein diet cat food with minimal fillers - but that's just so they don't poop as much. I don't think that really works by the way.
