Be Nice.

I've been thinking about all kinds of stuff lately, politics, socialism, animal cruelty, social justice, the poor, marriage, work, my attitude, music, sickness, vaccinations, homeschooling, ...
I think my brain might explode. ack.

So today I was reading an article on a study that found that alcohol doesn't make you forget bad memories but cements them into your brain. The study was done on mice, giving them a stock before putting them in their cage and they would curl up in fear and pain. Then on some they shocked them , gave them alcohol, and put them in their cage. Those with the alcohol stayed in their curled up fear/pained position for longer. My heart just hurt reading the article. I know they are "just" mice but why would people torture them like that for what I would consider a really stupid study. I know this might be naive but why do we still have to use animals to do testing on anyway? Isn't there another "nice" way to do testing. And don't we already know alot about what works and what doesn't in most everything. No need smearing shampoo in rabbits eyes and blinding them. No need to shock mice to see what happens. No need to torture animals needlessly. There just seems there has to be a better way. That's just my two cents for today.

Yes, its the primaries today. I have nothing to say about that right now.
