Tupperware

I brought a few brownies to work in my favorite and ONLY piece of REAL Tupperware. I handed the container to a coworker so she could get a brownie and when she handed it back she commented how I must have gotten the Tupperware from my mom. Ha. Yep, sure did. I remember loving going to Tupperware parties. Yes, I was a slightly weird kid. Anyway when I went to college I asked my mom if I could take this one piece of Tupperware - its a little square one for sandwiches but I find its great for other things. She said yes. So, funny story. I had a turtle named Timmy when I was a teenager and when he died I took him, wrapped him in paper towels (or toilet paper, I don't remember), placed him in a small Tupperware container and buried him in the flowerbed. Later mom asked if I buried the turtle in her good Tupperware. She didn't seem upset. She just said something about, well, the turtle will be well preserved. Hope some kid doesn't dig it up at somepoint - it might be kindof freaky. Oh, and if you think turtles and frogs get along - they don't. Timmy ate my little peeper frogs and the frogs peeped no more. It was quite traumatic! But Timmy was a good little turtle. In the summer he'd go swimming in the kids pool out back. One summer I'd also put this really big goldfish in the pool too. The goldfish was suppose to be Timmy food but it got too big for him to eat so they co-existed. One day the fish and Timmy were swimming around the kiddie pool and mom accidently dropped a brick on the fish. It was very flat and dead after that. Luckily the fish only cost 10cents to begin with. I still wonder how mom was able to drop a brick on it. So there you have it. Tupperware, dead turtles, and flat fish.

hehe...I'm with Cecilia on that. This was a pretty funny post....hehe. I also thought what it would look like to dig up your dead turtle...would his bones and shell still be there? Would it all be disintegrated? Or even if it was the bestest of the best tupperware, would bugs have still gotten in and eaten all his remains?

By the way, I don't think it's weird that you liked tupperware parties...I liked them too, but my mom actually didn't. We may have bought a thing or 2, but probably because I thought it was a cool gadget or something.
