Rock the 10D

My Canon 10D camera (the main camera I shoot with) is now over 6 years old, which in digital camera terms it is pretty much vintage! It is a 6 megapixel camera with a tiny little LCD display, AND 6 year old electronics. Blanca commented recently that she and her boss couldn't believe I was still shooting with a 10D. To which I responded, "well, I rock the 10D." But really, my 10D does have it's limitations and I've been drooling over the new Canon 5D Mark II ever since I heard rumors of it being released. The 5D Mark II has 21 megapixels, a large LCD display, can shoot video!, and has today's electronics in it. BUT it's $3,000 just for the body. So, I wait patiently and keep rocking the 10D!

Note: Blanca was very right and I can't really believe I am still shooting with a 10D either. Luckily, I am not shooting weddings. But I do plan to upgrade to the 5D Mark II by the end of the year.

Note 2: to see how I've been Rocking the 10D head on over to my photoblog:

you DO rock the 10D!!! you're awesome, Michele...keep rockin' it!

and you know, everyone is fine until you see the "better" version, and then all of a sudden you feel like what you have is crap.

even me - I have the 5D, which is a GREAT camera...but when using Vanessa's fancy 5DMkII, I can't help but be tempted to think that it's 500 times better than my camera... But REALLY, my camera is just fine! GREAT, even!

So yeah, keep rockin' that 10D, girl!
