smelliness

As most of you know I am really sensitive to smells. Especially perfume. Luckily at work I have my own office so I can close the door and try to avoid people wafting perfume in as the walk by. But then I look like I am not here or am really unfriendly. Which before 9 I am fairly unfriendly. So I usually leave my door mostly closed until 10:30 or so as I figure if people perfume at 7ish then 3 ½ hours should be enough time for them to air out. But lately it’s been horrible. I’ve been wafted with perfume smells all day somedays. I am like, people, could you not drench yourself in smelliness. I’ve thought of wearing a mask but then people would think I am sick. So instead I just sneeze my brains out all over my office, which also probably makes people think I am sick, or just gross. My immediate co-workers know not to wear perfume to work but others on my floor don’t know and then the 2nd floor! Holy cows, they really pour on the smelliness. I’ve thought of faking a seizure in the elevator but I figure that may be too dramatic. :0)~ Well, I shall try to survive. Its actually one of the reasons I keep my job. There are plenty of smellier places to work and HR isn’t too bad esp since I have an office with a door.
